Science Quiz Awards - 2010 (5thAnnual)
Dr.K.V.Rao Scientific Society announces its 5th Annual Science Quiz Competition for the year 2010 for School students. In this fifth year of the conduct of Science Quiz Competition among School children, we would like to encompass as many children as possible across the state of Andhra Pradesh. To facilitate this process, the districts of Andhra Pradesh have been divided into four zones and each zone shall be represented by a city where the quiz shall be held. Top two teams from each of the zonal finals shall compete in a mega final to be held in Hyderabad. The quiz will be held in the months of October/November 2010.
School Science Quiz Awards
The quiz is held every year for school students of classes VIII, IX,X and XI of the twin cities. In this 10th year, the Society has conducted the quiz in four major cities of Andhra Pradesh. Top two teams from each city vied for the top honors at final held at Hyderabad.
The winners from each city were given merit certificates, trophies and a cash award of Rs 1000 each. The runners-up getting cash award of Rs 500 each and second runners-up got cash prize of Rs 400 each.

- V.Sai Praneeth and Maaz Mashood Mohiuddin of St.Joseph's Public School, King Koti Road, Hyderabad
- Mr. Sydney Paul Montenerio, the Quiz Master, conducted the science quiz competition. Dr.K.Vijaya Kumari, Member Secretary, APCOST and
- Dr.K.Sriram, Scientist, National Institute of Standards and Testing, USA, were the Guests of Honour at the function.
